Professor Soliman has been working as a consultant psychiatrist at the NHS for the last 15 years and she is on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register. She was appointed a professor of adult general psychiatry in Egypt back in 2004.

 

Professor Soliman uses her extensive experience and training to work in the local community (within the NHS and in private practice) where she assesses and treats patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. They include:

– Depression

– Anxiety

– Personality disorders

– Mood disorders

– Psychosis spectrum disorders

– Post-traumatic stress disorder

– Adult ADHD

 

In addition to providing pharmacological medication prescription in her treatment, she also uses different modalities of psychotherapy to help her patients get better.

 

Training in Psychotherapy

Professor Soliman has a special interest in psychotherapy. She trained in dynamic and group therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy for psychosis, and Open Dialogue (a family approach to psychiatric disorders), and EMDR for post-traumatic stress disorder.

 

Professor Soliman can consult in English, Arabic or Russian. She runs her private clinic on Saturdays at Greenhithe Therapy Centre for self paying and patients covered by private medical insurance.
