COUNSELLOR

MBACP (Accred), Dip. Integrative Counselling, L4 Counselling Children, PgCert Autism

Charlie is a qualified Integrative Counsellor working with children aged 5+ years, young people and adults. She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and has provided counselling for local and national charities, mainstream schools and specialist resource provisions throughout Kent. Charlie is a recognised practitioner with AXA Healthcare, providing counselling for AXA insurance policy holders.

Whilst a person-centred approach is at the heart of Charlie’s practice, working integratively means that she will blend elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, play therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She does not believe that one size fits all so sessions will be tailored to meet your needs within a safe, confidential environment.

Charlie has experience in the specialised field of neurodivergence and special educational needs (SEN), particularly autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She is passionate about providing emotional support and advocacy for neurodivergent individuals and this area forms a large part of her practice.

INTEGRATED COUNSELLOR

DipCouns, MBACP (Accred.)

Marinette is a fully qualified NHS trained and a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor. She has been taught in different modalities of psychotherapy, including CBT, which enables her to be flexible in using the various approaches as required to suit her clients’ needs.

Marinette has experience of working with adults with a wide range of issues: anxiety, depression, relationship problems, OCD, panic attacks, bereavement, trauma and other areas of mental health from working with the Mental Health Charity, MIND.

Life can be challenging and sometimes stressful situations, thoughts and feelings may stop us from doing the things we enjoy. We may want to change that but do not know how. Marinette believes that having a regular opportunity to be heard, understood and process our emotions helps us to build a better understanding and greater awareness of our situation. She offers a confidential, non-judgemental and comfortable space for clients to talk and explore whatever they need at a pace that is comfortable for them; to listen or to offer strategies to support their needs.

Marinette ensures that her skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date through continuous professional development and regular supervision.
